DEVIL'S RIB
Forty years ago, escaping into the Polish wilderness usually meant being an outlaw, a dissident of the communist regime, or an adventurer. Today, the fatigue of modern life and fears of societal collapse are driving people to seek a life closer to nature. Lifestyle diseases may soon awaken this primal call of the wild on a broader scale, pushing even more people toward the wilderness.
A lifestyle that includes elements of primal living has a positive effect on our well-being. However, living close to nature is not a guaranteed recipe for happiness. Both body and soul still need real relief—because each of us, at times, is tempted by darkness, no matter the latitude.
The difference is that instead of drinking whiskey from a supermarket, you might take a bath in an infusion made from devil’s rib collected in a nearby forest.
*Cabbage Thistle (Devil's rib) — a plant species of the Asteraceae family. It contains many biologically active substances. They have a strong detoxifying, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and strengthening effect. (The bath with the addition of brew made of Devil’s Rib regenerates, strengthens and adds energy.) Its leaves resemble ribs.
